Shaping the future of learning
November 30-December 2 | virtual
The global, cross-sector conference on tech supported learning & training takes place virtual for 2020 on November 30 to December 4.
We have been part of it on December 2 with our session on „For What It’s Worth — Leadership Visions for Higher Ed“.
How do we generate added value in digital education for learners around the world? How do we establish new ways of digital collaboration that do not exacerbate existing inequalities? How do we leave the competitive mindset of higher ed and create responsible leadership for a networked future? In this session we shared and discussed ‘glocal’ perspectives on leadership visions for digital transformation strategies with Deputy Vice-Chancellor Sylvia Schwaag Serger from Lund University, GLC member Bitange Ndemo and GLC Co-Chair Friedrich W. Hesse .
GLC Co-Chair Friedrich W. Hesse already gave first insights into the topic in an article that was written for the OEB newsletter: A time of disruption in higher education – is it time for big change for universities? He believes higher education has reached a tipping point. Read more.
The GLC deals with digital learning in many different formats. For example, we will soon publish the report on our survey, which deals with „Higher Education during COVID-19“ from a thought leader perspective. We are also planning a number of events, such as the Global Learning Week in 2021, a major digital event where we will discuss and network with you about the digital learning of the future.
